Andy Siciliano, Chief Executive Officer During his
nearly 20 years in international finance, Mr. Siciliano has earned
recognition as one of Wall Street's top executives. Prior to joining
WebMind, Mr. Siciliano was Head of Fixed Income and Treasuries at
Swiss Bank Corporation, where he managed a staff of 9,000
professionals as a group executive board member. Mr. Siciliano's
interest in information technologies goes back to his days as an
undergraduate at MIT. During his time on Wall Street, Andy was
responsible for managing the IT department of Swiss Bank in addition
to his other capacities. He holds a BS in Management Science from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the
University of Chicago.
Dr. Ben Goertzel, Chairman, and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Ben Goertzel, the technology founder of WebMind Inc., is
the chief architect of the WebMind system and the inventor of many
of the essential algorithms and concepts underlying this technology.
He holds a PhD in mathematics from Temple University, and has held
university faculty positions in mathematics, computer science, and
psychology. As CTO, Ben manages the R&D efforts of WebMind. He
is author of numerous research papers, and five scholarly books
dealing with topics in the cognitive sciences, including Chaotic
Logic (Plenum Press, 1994), and Creating Internet Intelligence
(Plenum Press, 2000, to appear).
Mark Golan, Chief Operating and Financial Officer Mark
Golan's career over the last decade has been at the intersection of
finance and technology. He comes to WebMind from Hewlett Packard and
most recently Sun Microsystems where he was both Director of
Portfolio Management and Director of Global Engineering reporting to
the CTO. Before his move to Silicon Valley, Mr. Golan spent eight
years on Wall Street as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and
Smith Barney. Mark obtained an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of
Business at Dartmouth College, where he was a Tuck Scholar, and a BA
in economics from Tufts University.
Lisa S. Pazer, President Lisa Pazer, WebMind Inc.
founder, boasts more than a decade of experience in the information
services industry. In her roles as industry analyst, editor, market
strategist, business development and marketing consultant and
economist, Ms. Pazer has proven herself a versatile thinker and
creative problem solver. As WebMind's initial CEO, she oversaw the
growth of the Company from its original complement of two to an
international operation with 80 employees. She holds a BS in
economics from SUNY Albany.
Marty Reiner,
Vice President of Product Management Throughout his 15 years
in the global financial markets, Mr. Reiner has provided the
critical link between business opportunities and technological
capabilities. At Webmind, he is chartered with converting their
technological intellectual property and resources into revenues. As
such, he is responsible for all business operations of the company
including sales, marketing, business development, product design and
customer support. Prior to joining Webmind, Mr. Reiner was a Senior
Vice President for Optimark Technologies Inc., a pioneer in
electronic equity trading. Mr. Reiner was responsible for the firm's
largest clients and for leading change in their client management
and technology models. Previously, he spent 13 years with Swiss Bank
Corporation / O'Connor Partnerships in a variety of roles, including
derivatives trading, sales and IT management. Mr. Reiner holds a BS
in Materials Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Stephan Vladimir Bugaj, Deputy CTO Stephan holds an
integrative role spanning the AI, business, and application
development aspects of the company, helping bridge the gap between
real-world application needs and the R&D effort. His diverse
career started in 1993 in the virtual reality industry creating
immersive 3D gaming environments and real-time video for a spin-off
of VR pioneers VPL and other Silicon Valley gaming and VR companies.
He moved from there to the Web industry in 1994, helping to bring
multimedia design pioneers Studio Archetype from CD-ROM to the Web,
and delivering some of the earliest sites to use then-emerging
technologies such as CGI, Shockwave, Java, streaming audio and
video, and usage profiling. From there he moved on to Lucent Bell
Laboratories, where he was a researcher in the Multimedia
Communications Research Department, working on an AI expert system
for Internet site monitoring and management, user interfaces,
multimedia markup language design, Web usage profiling systems, and
computer graphics programming. Following his stint at Bell Labs, and
immediately prior to joining WebMind, he served as the Director of
Technology for the New York office of Thunderhouse, a Web
advertising agency.
Cliff Rosen, Vice President of Applications Cliff
brings 10 years of related experience to his role as head of product
development. He joined WebMind from Sixdegrees Inc., where he spent
over three years as co-founder and CTO. Cliff's technological
leadership brought sixdegrees from inception to a virtual community
of 3 million users and a market valuation of over $120 million.
During this time, he managed application development project teams
of over 50 people from technology, product and creative disciplines.
Prior to sixdegrees, Cliff's experience includes acting as VP of
Information Systems for an Omnicom PR company, IT Director for the
world's largest contemporary art gallery, and Product Manager for a
video software publisher started by the founder of Sony Video
Software. Cliff received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Pennsylvania.
Cassio Pennachin, Vice President of Webmind
Development A recent graduate of the Computer Science
Department at UFMG in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Cassio joined Webmind
in 1998 and over the last 2 years has organized our Brazilian office
which now numbers roughly 40 programmers. Currently his role
involves serving as chief architect of the WebMind AI system as well
as managing 45 AI developers in Brazil, New York, Australia and New
Zealand. Cassio's areas of expertise include object-oriented
software design, software process management, connectionist AI and
multi-agent systems.
Ken Silverman, VP of Technology Ken Silverman, WebMind
Inc. founder, is the chief architect behind the first version of
the WebMind Psycore (core) AI operating system, and brings to the
team years of experience in engineering and computer programming,
having studied and worked in areas such as electrical engineering,
database development, and software engineering. Ken created the
modular framework in which the various AI teams work in parallel to
develop different AI technologies across a single platform with a
standard mechanism of communication. He is co-creator of the
premiere image-based enterprise management system for the world's
largest contemporary art galleries, PaceWildenstein. The system is
still in use today. Ken holds a BS in electrical engineering from
Washington University. |
